Wed, 31 May 2023 14:00 - 17:00 BST ONLINE
The Parameters of Our Stories is a literary community where writers, translators, publishers, readers, and policy makers exchange thoughts on prevailing issues within the ecosystem of knowledge production. This initiative sets its long-term goal to encourage further collaborations within the region and beyond, and to promote literary works from Southeast Asia as ‘world literature’ while simultaneously challenging how parameters of such genre are gauged.
For the first gathering, Tilted Axis Press (UK) and soi squad (Thailand) will co-host writers, translators, publishers, and institutional workers from Southeast Asia at Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre in June 2023. Gearing towards the onsite event, The Parameters of Our Stories invites literary professionals from other regions to share their experiences and insights at the events happening online in April and May. This is our last online event ahead of the in-person forum in Bangkok.
