Sipra Mukherjee

Sipra Mukherjee is Professor in the Department of English, West Bengal State University, India. Her research interests are modern literatures, religion and caste. Her publications include Under My Dark Skin: translations of Dalit Writings form Bengal (2021), The Languages of Religion (Routledge, 2019), Interrogating My Chandal Life: autobiography of a Dalit (translation of Byapari’s Itibritte Chandal Jeeban, 2018, which won The Hindu Non-fiction Award, 2019), The Calcutta Mosaic: Minority Communities of Calcutta (2009).
