Kris and Tice went to a studio in Tottenham with Norman Erikson Pasaribu and Motionhyrule, a brilliant local producer and MC. Earlier, Norman had met Tice and Kris while they were having their nails done at La Fresh Nails, and then together they had patties from Tottenham Town Bakery on West Green Road. After eating lunch in the studio, Norman wrote to the beat that Curtis made and then recorded that very same day, resulting in a special archive of his time in North London – shortly before his flight back to Indonesia.
Norman’s poem is beautiful. The beat samples different songs from Norman’s life, warped and hazed. Song embedded below, along with the poem itself.
